This product will work only if you have Factory Carplay and Android Auto already equipped or previously installed. Otherwise, you will need to upgrade your infotainment system to have Carplay and Android Auto Functionality.
This all new piece of awesome technology opens up a whole world of video entertainment, navigation options and wireless Carplay and Android Auto Functionality. The device operates with full On-Screen Touch Control, and will have the Video Streaming Capability (WIFI Required), On Board Navigation Software, video and music. It can also connect wirelessly via Bluetooth to your wireless mouse, remote control, tire pressure and OBD!
The video and navigation portal will have the ability to load video content directly onto the device, or allow Video playback via a Micro SD Card, without the need of WIFI. In addition, this will allow for offline, on-screen navigation mapping with the use of the integrated GPS Antenna.
HOW TO INSTALL
- The first time you install and use your new portal can take a few attempts for the vehicle infotainment system to recognize it.
- Locate your vehicles CarPlay/Android Auto USB Port(s) (Not a charge only port)
- Make sure the provided portal USB cable is connected to the USB C on the portal. Insert the Male USB A 2.0 or Type C into the vehicle CarPlay/Android Auto Port.
- The system should be recognizing the portal and either automatically switch to the portal screen, or you will notice the Carplay Icon highlighted green with the logo that will allow you to enter.
- Follow the On-screen instructions until it restarts.
