HOW DOES THE NAVIGATION UNLOCK WORKS?

  • One of the MVI offers is the GM Video In Motion and Navigation Unlock Module. This works for all GM vehicles that run the CUE / MyLink / Intellelink systems.
  • It is a complete plug and play navigation and infotainment unlock module.
  • This all new system will give you full functionality of the system without being restricted when in motion.
  • One of the coolest features of this GM Video In – Motion And Navigation Unlock Module is the ability to now utilize the USB / SD card reader in the center console.
  • This is absolutely huge for the vehicles that are NOT equipped with rear seat entertainment (14 – 16 Vehicles ONLY).
  • This now gives those vehicles instant video entertainment for the passengers to enjoy.

WHAT DOES GM VIDEO IN – MOTION AND NAVIGATION UNLOCK MODULE FEATURE?

Our GM Video In Motion and Navigation Unlock Module features a:

    • Navigation Destination Entry In-Motion
      • For vehicles currently equipped with Navigation, this WILL NOT ADD NAVIGATION. To add Navigation, you can visit our GM Navigation System page for more choices.
    • Blu-ray/DVD Video In-Motion
      • Vehicle must be equipped with RSE. This product will not add Blu-ray or DVD.
    • USB and SD Card Video In-Motion for 2014 – 2016 NON RSE (Rear Seat Entertainment) Vehicles and 2014-2018 RSE Vehicles (Requires video formatted to MP4 Only and 480 MAX Resolution).
      • If you have a 2016 to newer Non RSE vehicle and you would like to add USB / SD video playback in motion, please see our Custom Software Unlock. Please see “Requirements” on the product page for more information.
    • Our unlock system works with non navigation equipped vehicles as well. Everything listed above will work on the Non Nav vehicle with the exception of navigation entry.
    • Optional Smart Phone Screen Mirroring: If your vehicle is equipped with the factory drop down rear seat entertainment system (RSE), you may add an HDMI input to your unlock module in order to mirror the screen of your smartphone or input any other device with an HDMI signal to the factory screens such as a Roku stick, Amazon Fire stick, Apple TV, ect.

IS MY VEHICLE COMPATIBLE WITH THIS NAVIGATION UNLOCK UPGRADE?

The navigation unlock upgrades here in MVI depend on the kits you are going to purchase. But most of the upgrades are compatible with older vehicles to 2021 vehicles. There are also notes for every model fit for this upgrade, so you might want to check it out before purchasing.

MVI also offers a Smartphone Mirroring option if you want to opt for the ability to view your factory tailgate camera while moving down the road. However, iPhone customers will need a connection to the module via an HDMI Cable and Apple Digital AV Adapter. Wireless connection functionality can only be attained by using an Apple TV device.
