Program your GM Vehicle For Backup Camera
MVI Inc would like to introduce our All New GM HMI Backup Camera Programmer for 2014 – 2019 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra equipped with the HMI (Human Machine Interface) module.
This will also work for other HMI equipped vehicles such as 2013 – 2016 Cadillac CUE Models, so make sure to read the fitments below to see if your vehicle fits. Also known as the GM Camera Genie, this little programmer will allow you to add a rear backup camera to your vehicle and will provide the required programming to the HMI module, without having to go to the dealer. Simply plug this little guy into your vehicles OBD2 diagnostic port and wait for the programmer lights to turn green! That’s all there is to it! You can now add any camera of your choice.
Once the GM HMI Backup Camera Programmer is plugged into your vehicle, the Vin is then burned into it; it is then good for the life of the vehicle. Now, thanks to the GM Camera Genie; you can take your vehicle into the dealer and let them perform any kind of programming without the hassle of worrying about overriding your new upgrade that you just invested money in.

Already have a Tailgate Handle Camera and need to know if you are Pre-Wired for Camera Install?

You will also need to verify the 2 camera wires are also in slots 5 and 6 of the HMI J2 Grey 12pin Molex Connector.
MVI can also provide the required harnessing for trucks that are not pre-wired for camera. Please message us for more details if you require one of these harnesses.
