- To view the Silverado Tailgate rear camera in motion you will need to combine the harness with our Factory Video Unlock Service (available on 2016+ vehicles only or vehicles equipped with our CarPlay / Android Auto Upgrade) or select the add on composite video output harness from the options above, to view the camera through an external module like our 360 Surround View System-with optional blind spot cameras and our Audio Video Input module with Smart Phone Screen Mirroring.
- Professional installation is recommended if you are not familiar with automotive electronics and installations. We do provide up to 15 minutes of BASIC installation support for customers that prefer to do the install on their own, for troubleshooting purposes ONLY. This product REQUIRES either our custom software programming (available for 2016 plus vehicles only or vehicles equipped with our CarPlay / Android Auto Upgrade) OR one of the following: 360 Surround View Camera System or Audio Video Input module with Smart Phone Screen Mirroring in order to pull up the image on your vehicle’s factory screen. Alternatively, if you already have one of the camera module or video module options installed in your truck; you can also purchase the harness, which includes the add-on composite video output connector so that you can view this camera through your own external module if desired.
