- Download AAAD: Install the AAAD (Android Auto for phone screens) app from the Google Play Store. This app allows you to use Android Auto directly on your phone without a compatible car display.
- Download CarStream: Get the CarStream app, which enables YouTube playback on Android Auto. You can find this app on third-party app stores.

Launch the AAAD app on your phone, and it will automatically start Android Auto. Then, open CarStream from the app drawer in Android Auto. You can now browse and watch YouTube videos.
- Enable Desktop Mode: In CarStream, tap on the top right Menu Icon (3 dots) and select settings. Enable Desktop Mode in the settings. Now, go back and log in to your YouTube account.
